FCHMC was officially accepted as a covenant partner by The Fuller Center for Housing in Americus, Georgia, on September 23, 2025. Officially with another non-profit since 1998, we have built 11 homes and completed numerous repair projects to help senior citizens age in place. We are run by a dedicated board and other volunteers with no paid staff.

Our roots began with a small group of men from different backgrounds committed to praying, asking the Lord to show them how to respond to discrimination that had prevented a family from purchasing a home in Comer. Their answer was clear and they proceeded to organize more neighbors dedicated to offering a way for more families to become homeowners. Affiliation with a well known non-profit organization gave structure to this dream and provided an avenue for fundraising and planning. Over the next 27 years, many people have participated in family selection, fund raising, and building. We are forever grateful for this strong foundation. Some of these same folks are still supporting us, cheering us on and encouraging us to keep doing this important work.
